Minor and newborn passports in Pune

A passport for a child under eighteen is filed by the parents, with consent annexures signed by both. We check the birth certificate and the parents’ documents, prepare the annexures and book the appointment so the whole family can attend together.

What a child’s passport needs

The application is made in the child’s name but rests entirely on the parents’ documents and their consent. Where one parent cannot sign, a different annexure applies, and choosing the right one is most of the work.

Newborns and infants, where the birth certificate is the primary document
Children under fifteen, issued a passport with shorter validity
Applicants between fifteen and eighteen, who can apply for a full ten-year passport
Both-parent consent, signed in the correct place on the annexure
Single parent, separated or sole custody cases, using the appropriate annexure

Usually asked for

Birth certificate Both parents’ passports Aadhaar cards Address proof Consent annexure
Traveller holding a passport and boarding pass with luggage

Both parents, or the right annexure

Where both parents consent, both sign the annexure and both sets of documents go on the file. Where a parent is unavailable, separated or deceased, a different annexure applies and the supporting document changes with it. Tell us the situation plainly and we will draft the right one.

How your file moves

The same four steps for a newborn’s first passport as for any other application.

1

Talk to us

Call, message on WhatsApp or walk into the Somwar Peth office. Tell us what you need and we will list out which documents apply to your specific case.

2

Document check

Every proof is verified before anything is submitted. This is where most applications go wrong, so this is where we spend the most time.

3

Filing and appointment

We complete the application, pay the government fee and book the earliest slot available to us at that time.

4

Visit and delivery

You are briefed on what happens at each counter. We then track the file and update you until it is done.

What you pay

Two separate amounts, always told to you before we begin. Nothing is added later.

Amount Paid to How it is decided
Government fee Passport Seva Fixed by the department as per the current published schedule
Trivocity service charge Trivocity Quoted upfront based on the category and the documentation involved
Third-party costs Notary, courier or photo studio Only if your case needs them, and told to you in advance

What we can and cannot control

Processing time, police verification and the final decision rest entirely with the Regional Passport Office. What we take responsibility for is a complete and correctly documented application, and a clear update from us at every stage.
