Passport renewal and re-issue in Pune

Indian passports are re-issued rather than renewed, so the application is a fresh file that references your existing passport. We check the old passport against the current requirements, complete the application and book your appointment at the Passport Seva Kendra.

Apt, S.No 350/2, Shankar Garud Rd, opp. Sundar Nagari Society, Somwar Peth, Pune, Maharashtra 411011 · Monday to Saturday, 10:00 am to 7:30 pm.

When to apply for re-issue

Most countries want at least six months of validity beyond your travel dates, and some visa applications will not accept a passport expiring sooner. Applying early matters more than most people expect.

A passport expiring within the next year, or one that has already expired
A passport with no blank pages left for visa stickers
A change of address, appearance or personal particulars
A passport issued when you were a minor, now that you are eighteen
Urgent re-issue before booked travel, which can be filed under Tatkal

Usually asked for

Old passport Aadhaar card PAN card Address proof Recent photographs
Two travellers checking an airport arrivals board

Apply before you book

Check the expiry date before you book tickets, not after. If the passport is close to expiry we will tell you plainly whether the timeline is realistic for your travel dates, and whether Tatkal is the sensible route.

Re-issue with a change

A re-issue is also the route for correcting or updating what is printed inside the passport. The supporting document depends entirely on what is changing.

Common changes

Address Name Date of birth Appearance Spouse name
Address change supported by a proof in the new address
Name change after marriage supported by the marriage certificate or a joint affidavit
Corrections to spelling or date of birth supported by the original record

Send a photo of the first and last pages of your current passport on WhatsApp and we will tell you which category applies.

How your file moves

The same four steps as a first passport, run against your existing passport rather than a blank file.

1

Talk to us

Call, message on WhatsApp or walk into the Somwar Peth office. Tell us what you need and we will list out which documents apply to your specific case.

2

Document check

Every proof is verified before anything is submitted. This is where most applications go wrong, so this is where we spend the most time.

3

Filing and appointment

We complete the application, pay the government fee and book the earliest slot available to us at that time.

4

Visit and delivery

You are briefed on what happens at each counter. We then track the file and update you until it is done.

What you pay

Two separate amounts, always told to you before we begin. Nothing is added later.

Amount Paid to How it is decided
Government fee Passport Seva Fixed by the department as per the current published schedule
Trivocity service charge Trivocity Quoted upfront based on the category and the documentation involved
Third-party costs Notary, courier or photo studio Only if your case needs them, and told to you in advance

What we can and cannot control

Processing time, police verification and the final decision rest entirely with the Regional Passport Office. What we take responsibility for is a complete and correctly documented application, and a clear update from us at every stage.
